Today, June 26 2015, the Supreme Court made gay marriage legal throughout the country and its territories. This was Cathy's most heartfelt desire. We declared a Domestic Partnership in Pittsburgh, and we exchanged vows in a Civil Union in New Jersey, but to Cathy, that didn't really count so much. She wanted the real thing; she wanted it all the way. And I can't help but grieve. Four weeks before she died, gay marriage was legalized in NY, but she was too sick to make 2 trips there. Four days after she died, the courts forced NJ to legalize gay marriage. Now, 1 year and 10 months after her death, it is legal nationwide. She would have been so happy. From Deb
